Hudsonville Survey: What do residents think of their city?

In March of this year, a survey of 200 residents of Hudsonville, MI, was conducted. The large majority report that they are satisfied with the city’s services, but many feel that the taxes are too high.

More than 90% of those taking the survey rated Hudsonville’s quailty of life, law enforcement, fire department, city parks and basic public services either “excellent” or “pretty good.”  Just under half surveyed, coming in at 46% say that they believe taxes are too high, with 14% saying “much too high”.

42% percent of said they desire lower taxes, even at the cost of cutting city services, while 50 percent would rather maintain current service levels even if it means raising taxes.
